Problem Restoring To Virtual Client

Hi,

I have a NBU6.5.5 Master Server and am trying to restore directories on the the C:\ partition of one of my clients, the client is running NBU6.5.5 and is a Win2008 Virtual client (VMWare), I do not use the VCB method of backups but have the client installed locally.

When trying to restore to this client I get the following error:

I have tried to restore to a different Virtual machine but again this fails with the same error, the strange thing is that I can restore this area to a physical host?

The client is in a policy which is set to backup ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES

  • Found the problem. we had the policy set to encryption, put the key file in place with bpkeyutil and bingo it is now restoring
