Hello when I attempted to restore the SQL database, the following error occurred. V-79-65323-4305 - The log in this backup set begins at LSN 375268000006452800001, which is too recent to apply to the database. An earlier log backup that includes LSN 375268000001202400001 can be restored. thanks,,230Views0likes0CommentsInaccurate disk storage
Hi All, Anyone can help me figure out or resolve the issue? We have network storage (10TB free/50TB) after deleting the old backup with that we can at least have the space available. but in the BE console shows (46.5TB used/50TB). and that is not accurate to our original capacity which is (10TB free/50TB). It might also cause a failed backup and it turns out to offline status because it is already full. Is there any resolution that might help us to resolve this? Thank you in advance.245Views0likes0CommentsMSL2024 Robotic Partition reconfiguration
Hi, I have a Query at a company running Backup Exec version 21.4 using an HP LTO tape library with two drives and 24 tape slots. The previous IT guy is gone but left the partition with 14 partitions. The first 1 -11 is a single partition and the rest of each has one slot, I need to change this configuration but I'm wondering what effect the changes would have on existing data that use the current partitions. will they update automatically? I don't want to make changes with existing 12 to 24 individual partitions if reconfiguring the partitions and changing from 14 to 24 individual could cause problems or data loss. 1-11 don't have drives384Views0likes1CommentProblem BackupExec 21 After Crash

Hello, we are trying to figure out how we can get the installed version of backup exec on all our endpoints with a script. according to this article one should look at the add remove programs page or Backup Exec's about page. https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100054473 add remove programs collects the information fromthe registry "DisplayVersion" key located under "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Veritas Backup Exec 21.0"which value for the test machine is "21.0.1200" However, seems that it is not updated with the software, as backup exec is updated to "Version 21.4 Rev. 1200.2536" according to the about page. Where can i look to programmatically extract this "21.4.1200.2536" version? Additionally, checking the versions of some of the executables they seem to be on version "21.0.1200.2536" which is neither here nor there, would love it if you can shed some light on these discrepancies, Thanks, V.629Views0likes1CommentBackup Exec migration assistance credentials fail

Hi Can Backup Exec be installed on a non-domain server? I have done it in the past, but wanted to know if it is possible with the latest versions and for it to still be able to back up other remote agents also in workgroups. Can it also back up agents over a third party firewall, and if so, can the number of ports required to be open, be minimised to a very limited number? Thanks Chris740Views0likes1Comment
