Physical volume library drive or Robot paused, offline or disabled
Hi all, I had opened up the magzine of the autoloader and replace the tape manually. After that, I encountered the error whenever I tried to bring the robotic library online and which I swop back to the original tape. Now, how do I resolved this and what would be the correct procedures to replace the tape from the autoloader using BE2012? I recently had the problem of replacing theCleaning Tapeand having all scheduled cleaning jobs fail becauseBackup Exec 15didNOTrecognize the new tape. It would only recognize the old tape and kept applying this to the new tape. This is a glitch that needs to be addressed and to the best of my knowledge has not been. And since I couldn't find a full solution that worked on the forums or online, I'm posting here to detail what I found to work. It seems like a lot but it's actually really quick. The longest part is waiting for the Inventory to run. This is also uber detailed for all level of users and while some steps seem excessive, I found them necessary in order to make it work. Hopefully someone experiencing the same problem will find this helpful. Steps: ReplaceCleaning Tape(if you haven't already or you reinstalled the old one) Go toStoragetab Double-clickAll Tape Media Detailsin the bottom window Find the oldCleaning Tape, select it, and clickDeleteon toolbar at top of screen(or right-click and select delete). Select theAll Storage buttonin top left to go back toAll Storagescreen. Double-clickSlotsin window below NOTE: theold Cleaning Tapeis still recognized here but that's ok, we are going to fix that Select theCleaning Slot(ie Slot 1) and then click theSlot Details buttonin top right hand corner. Hi All, i have some problem with Symantec backup exec 2012 installed in windows server 2012 and backing up virtual machines. sometimes backup running full or incremental the resultssucces with exception. but today backup failed with error : Backup- \\[Server_backup]\C: Storage device "Deduplication Storage:4" reported an error on a request to read data from media. Error reported: No more data is on the tape. V-79-57344-34029 - A hardware error occurred. Storage device "Deduplication Storage:4" reported an error on a request to write data to media. Error reported: 0x17 V-79-57344-34028 - A backup storage read/write error has occurred. If the storage is tape based, this is usually caused by dirty read/write heads in the tape drive. Clean the tape drive, and then try the job again. If the problem persists, try a different tape. You may also need to check for problems with cables, termination, or other hardware issues. If the storage is disk based, check that the storage subsystem is functioning properly. Review any system logs or vendor specific logs associated with the storage to help determine the source of the problem. You may also want to check any vendor specific documentation for troubleshooting recommendations. please help me, thank you for kind attention and support. regards, ridhoSolved4.9KViews4likes15CommentsTo disable AOFO or not
I know there are many posts similar to this, but we're currently running Backup Exec 2012 SP2 and Exchange 2010 SP2. So AOFO should definitely be disabled when backing up the information stores? I've came across several suggestions, but I dont see this documented anywhere. Thanks for your help.Solved4.9KViews1like11CommentsHow to get job details exported in excel
