CA Database Schema - SQL Querying
Hi there - I am currently looking to build some custom SQL queries against the CA database but am struggling to understand the various tables and their relationships. Is anyone aware of where I can find a data relationship diagram, CA data model schema, or data dictionary to assist? As a temporary option, I am looking at the IntDiscoveredItems table which I understand are similar to the alerts produced when certain hotwords are hit. However I am unsure how to link this table back to the IntHotwordID table? Any help is much appreciated.1.6KViews0likes2Comments
Two Compliance Accelerator Servers, One Configuration Database?
I called support and was told that our CA configuration was not supported because we have 2 CA servers but only 1 configuration database. Is it true that for for every Compliance Accelerator server there must be a seperate EVCAConfiguration database?Solved2.9KViews1like6Comments

Order of upgrade for DA 10.0.4?
Just reading Upgrade instructions for 10.0.4. On page 34 it states; Order of upgrade in an environment with Compliance Accelerator or Discovery Accelerator If the Enterprise Vault environment that you are upgrading includes Compliance Accelerator or Discovery Accelerator, the Accelerator version must be upgraded to 10.0.4 or later. The Accelerator version can be up to one major version higher than Enterprise Vault, but it must not be lower than the version of Enterprise Vault. See the Enterprise Vault Compatibility Charts at http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH38537. You must upgrade the Accelerator product before you upgrade Enterprise Vault. Perform the upgrades in the following order: Upgrade the Accelerator product. Then upgrade Enterprise Vault on the Accelerator server. Finally, upgrade Enterprise Vault on the Enterprise Vault server. This is a change from previous upgrades, where you had to upgrade EV first, then EV components on DA server and then DA itself. Hello, team. Is a fact, that Discovery Accelerator cannot search within ZIP files. I've made several test cases and haven't found items with content inside ZIP file. In this case EV indexes only file name and extension in ZIP file. Can you please provide me documentation, where I can find this is really impossible to find items within ZIP file, and this isn't my fault and system misconfiguration. Looking to search by exact term and case sensitive
We are running DA 9.0 on a windows 2008 R2 server with the reviewer running the search from a windows xp machine. He is looking to search for an exact term i.e. xyz. If he puts in the search for "XYZ" would it only be for those three letters? He is also looking for a way to find them only as case sensitive. Possible? I was looking for documentation on this but this best I can find is the DA 8 guide to effective searching, not finding one for 9.0.Solved1KViews1like2Comments
Search Journal or all mailboxes - or both?
We've been running Discovery Accelerator for some time now and I have always wondered if there is a benefit to searching more than just the Jornal mailbox for Legal Cases. It seems to me that if the Journal has a copy of all mail items, then searching the individual mailboxes is just repetitive. Anyone know of any documentation to back up my theory? Does anyone have a list of non-indexed attachments?
We are building a document that shows what type of attachments are not indexed by Enterprise Vault and are therefore not searched when using Discovery Accelerator. We use DA when we are subpoened for efiles and may need to show a court which types of files may not be produced when searched. The only document I've seen from Symantec uses generic terms like it cannot search within encrypted emails or audio files...we're looking for something a bit more specific...such as PDF or image files, etc. Obivously we can't account for every type of file but if we can get a good list of common files that would be helpful.
