NSS file restore, can I have an alternative path or client?
When restoring files/folders in NSS, users have an option to restore to an alternative location. If selected, NSS will create a new, unique sub-directory (a combination of 'RestoredFiles-<req#>') in the original directory on the original client where the files/folders will be restored. However, I would like the option to restore the file to an alternative path on the original client and an alternative client/host.Solved6.6KViews0likes12CommentsNetBackup status code: 6000 Message: The provided path is not whitelisted
I am able to successfully browse the file/folder structure of the VM backup from the NSS portal, select a file, and initiate the restore, although the restore attempts failed. Does anyone know if BackupExec has plans to support: SLES SP4 With: OES 11 SP3 (NSS Volumes) OES 2015 (NSS Volumes) OES 2015.1 (NSS Volumes) I understand a work arround is to edit the "/etc/novell-release" and change it to the older SLES11SP3 settings. I find this to be a poor workaround as if you forget to change it back prior to running system updates.......(Well Do I need to say the rest....)..... Another work arround would be to create a "pre and post" task to edit the file By creating OS/OES-Version "templates" for both version and the copy the Pre Job Task - Copy Template - SLES11SP3/OES11SP2 over /etc/*release Post Job Task - Copy Template - SLES11SP4/OES2015SP1 over /etc/*release Thanks! After approximately 3 days, Self-Service is no longer connecting to NetBackup. Under Locations, check connectivity fails. Changing to a different AD service account it starts working again. The AD account is not locked out; it just stops working in NSS only. All of these deployments have NBAC configured however the account that doesn't work in NSS is still able to log into NBU with no problems.Solved2.3KViews0likes2CommentsNSS throwing SQL errors in the SQL log after upgrading from NSS 8.1.1 to NSS 8.1.2
