DA v9: Email attachments not exporting
Hello, A client is using Discovery Accelerator version 9 and is encountering the following problem: When exporting custodial mailboxes as PST files, email attachments over a certain size are not included within the resulting PST file export. There are only links to the email attachments within each individual email. The client looked at their Exchange server and exported the same PST file directly from Exchange, they encountered the same problem. So, I am thinking the root cause might be a policy setup in the Exchange environment and not DA? QUESTIONS: 1) What are the specific menu steps one may take to find email attachment policies currently in place, both within DA and Exchange? 2) Is one possible answer to restore large email attachments first before exporting PST files from DA? If yes, what tool (DA or Exchange) would be used to restore large email attachments? 3) Where are these large email attachments currently physically housed? I have a user who needs to export a selection of email for an auditor. That or provide them access to compliance accelerator to do their own review. I'd much rather just be able to export a collection of emails. Can anyone provide me some instruction for how to do that? We are using Enterprise Vault 9 and are journaling from a Domino server and use Lotus Notes for email. When a CA user tries to open some attachments (not all) they recieve this error. It doesn't happen every time the user tries to open attachments but it happens enough to be an issue. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have someone who is complaining that Compliance Accelerator isn't showing all the results it should when they search for email. I was told by someone else that Compliance Accelerator is actually designed to only show a random sampling. That person told me they should use Discovery Accelerator. Now before I spend all afternoon installing Discovery Accelerator I was hoping to find out if there was a way for me to force Compliance Accelerator to NOT show random results but to actually show what was being searched for. Can someone help me with the below issue. We recently upgraded our vault servers and CA and DA servers to version 8.0 SP5. After the upgrade we are seeing issues in the CA searches. The error says the index may have failed, but when we run a search for failed or rebuilding Index volumes, the search returns No Index found.
