Local Intranet Zones w Outlook Anywhere
EV 11.01 Windows 8.1, IE11, Outlook 2013 I have some end users who have the EV Servers in their Local IntranetSites as per the EV Policy. The problem is that with the EV servers. (Alias, Alias FQDN and Hostname) in the Local Intranet Sites, they are unable to reach the EV Search Page in Outlook. When I remove the EV Server from theLocal IntranetSites and add them to Trusted Sites, it works fine. Any guidance? Hi I'm still havgin problems installing the Enterprise Vault 10.0.4 addin for Outlook 2013 on an Office365 ProPlus Subsciption on a machine running Windows 8.1. I've ran through the following article numerous times, with no luck at all. https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH214359.html Has anyone else had a similar problem and found a way around it? As with previous (solved) issues, it appears as an add-in in Outlook, but as 'inactive'. Cheers1.8KViews2likes7Commentsenterprise vault 9.0.2 with Windows 8 and Outlook 2013
Hi everybody According to the last "Enterprise Vault Compatibility Charts" document (updated on October 3, 2013 - pages 52-54) windows 8 and outlook 2013 are not supported as a client for EV 9 exchange archiving. However, there are many discussions in this very forum that claim the opposite. I am confused... what am I missing??Solved1.6KViews2likes12CommentsEnterprise vault 10.0.4/Outlook 2013

Hello, I have different issues about enterprise vault. We are using Enterprise Vault environment. Version is 10.0.4. And exchange version is 2007 Std. Mail archiving is successfully working, we have no problem about that. We are using Backupexec for backup and we have no problem about backups. Eveything is great... But ; Some user cannot start archivingpersistently. When I look and check their outlok, I see clock Icon and getting messages like "Backups Waiting" bla bla etc... You know this is usual warning about backup. But,i'm already taking backup. I have not any problem about that. There is no problem at other users. But only 4 or many users cannot start archiving. I disabled mailbox and enabled again. I checked credential and Internet Explorer advanced settings. It seems there is no any problem abot enterprise Vault settings. Why some users cannot start archiving although other user could start ? What is the reason ? What's wrong ? Where should I check ? Thanks friends.Solved754Views1like6CommentsDoes the API allow us to get the security for File Shares?
Hello, I tried to use:"Symantec Enterprise Vault API Runtime10" but I couldn't find anything about security and it seems that there's no documentation. I want to know if security for File Shares is available using the API and if so any example would be welcome. I've been trying to useIContentManagementAPI: _cmApi = new ContentManagementAPI {DirectoryDNSAlias = evServerName}; Thank you484Views1like2CommentsEV Outlook Add-In for Office 365 Subscription / Windows 8.1
Not sure if anyone else has had this specific issue (I have seen some similar posts), but I recently ran into a problem getting the Outlook Add-In to work with the subscription edition of Office 2013 on Windows 8.1. No matter what I did I could not get the Enterprise Vault Add-In to even show up in the trust center in Outlook, let alone on the menu bar in Outlook. The fix for this problem ended up being to uninstall the subscription edition of Office 2013 that was downloaded from Office 365 and reinstall and the normal volume license edition. Once I made this change, and uninstalled/reinstalled the EV plug-in the Outlook Add-in worked immediately! I haven't gone as far as testing to determine if the problem is specific to Windows 8.1 or the Office Subscription installation but I just wanted to share my findings. We do have several clients that are using/looking at the subscription edition of Office even if they are not using Office 365 for email, so this is a problem I expect we are going to start to see more often if they are also archiving with EV.
