RPC over HTTP detection
I have implemented EV 12.0.1 to archive emailin an Exchange 2013 scenario. Most end users useOutlook2016. When a user is outside the corporate network the Vault add-in does not detect RPC over HTTP is enabledeven though Outlook Anywhere is in use, and so the HTTP connection to the internal alias FQDN fails. Current config: Ev client log: RPC over HTTP is not enabled (flags =0) Add-in Information: HTTP connection failed: http://evserver1.internaldomain.local/EnterpriseVault (Status: 0x12) Desktop policy settings: RPC over HTTP connection: Use proxy RPC over HTTP Proxy URL: HTTPS://vault.publicdomain.com/EnterpriseVault RPC over HTTP restricitons: Disable PST Import Use proxy settings: Ignore proxy settings Please assist. In Outlook 2016 i cannot configure RPC over HTTP proxy settings. Is there a way i can force the add-in to assume RPC over HTTP is being used?531Views0likes1Comment10.0.4 JournalStub Table 1.3TB in Size Ouch and Growing
Can anyone tell me why in EV 10.0.4 on one and one only the Databse Size has a JournalStub Database Table that is 1.3TB in size and gowing. I checked the other JournalStub DB Tables on the onter EV Databases and they are in the meg range. Were ruunning out of space on that Windows 2008 R2 64 Partition due to this table being that size. The Database is a Vault Store for Exchange. We have 2 Vault Stores for our 4 Exchange Servers and I checked the other Database and its JournalStub Database Table is 0.00MB. Very Strange.............. Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.Solved1.3KViews0likes6CommentsEnterprise Vault Tab Missing in Outlook 2010

Hi I'm still havgin problems installing the Enterprise Vault 10.0.4 addin for Outlook 2013 on an Office365 ProPlus Subsciption on a machine running Windows 8.1. I've ran through the following article numerous times, with no luck at all. https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH214359.html Has anyone else had a similar problem and found a way around it? As with previous (solved) issues, it appears as an add-in in Outlook, but as 'inactive'. Cheers1.8KViews2likes7CommentsEnterprise Vault Virtual Vault empty
I have setup a new Enterprise Vault 11.0.1 server with Exchange 2013 archivingfor a proof of concept. The mailbox policy is set todelete the original after archiving and not create a shortcut. Using a Windows 8.1client with Outlook 2013 and the 11.0.1 Outlook Add-In I can see archived mail disappear from the mailbox and can see it in the 'Search Vaults' web interface. I have a vault displaying in Outlook but it does not contain any visible items, just the Inbox and Sent Items folders. I have tried to manually sync the vault, waited 24 hours and even tried the OVMDCSyncFrequencyInSecs registry key to try and force it but after 2 days I still don't see any items. The Vault Cache is synchronising and shows it has items. Virtual Vault configuration shows: VIRTUAL VAULT CONFIGURATION StatusEnabled EVMSP32.dll is in environment path MAPISVC.INF locationC:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033\MAPISVC.INF EVMSP configuration in MAPISVC.INFOK Is there a configuration item I need to set to populate the Virtual Vault? Or a way to force it to make items visible? Thanks Marc1.3KViews0likes5CommentsHelp Required for Enterprise Vault 11 Mobile Search
