Migrate ApplicationHA to new vCenter server
We're consolidating a number of vCenter servers into a single instance. One of the clusters we want to move has VMs managed by AppHA 6.0.1. Is there an easy way to migrate the cluster configuration from the old vCenter server to the new one without causing any cluster outages or losing the cluster configuration? Hello, I am trying to find the correct trialware package for the ApplicationHA package that will allow me to: - install the console on Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012 R2 VM or physical machine - Monitor Oracle hosted on a Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012 R2 VM. - Where the VM environment is running in a vSphere 6.0 environment (ESXi 6.0 hosts with vCenter 6.0) We're currently running ApplicationHA6.1 but it appears from the compatibility list no vSphere 6.0 support. Unable to configure multile application for monitoring.
Hello all. I used Application HA 6.1 on windows server 2012 R2. I read this document( http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH159846 ), then I performed the commands to add an application to an existing configuration. However, commandline put error messesage. ApplicationHA 6.1, ESXi 5.5 and SQL 2012 problems
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone out there might be able to throw a bit of advice my way. Currently evaluating AppHA on VMWare (AppHA 6.1 and ESXi 5.5 hosts) with the view to buying as on paper it does exactly what we want. I've installed the High Availability Console server which has plugged into vCenter nicely, installed the ApplicationHA agent onto a VM running Windows 2012 DC R2 and SQL 2012, again all going smoothly up to this point. Now I get around to testing the agent out. I'm doing this by stopping the sql server and sql agent services on the VM and waiting for AppHA to kick in and restart both services, this is when I'm getting into a little trouble. Firstly the services do not shut down as cleanly as when the agent is not configured on the VM, a message pops up saying that windows could not stop the SQL server and that the service did not return an error, helpful I know. This does not happen when the agent is not configured on the VM, the services shut down fine. Secondly when the agent is configured and the services finally shut down, the AppHA plugin for the VM in vCenter displays a faulted status and that the SQL server service is not running and that the SQL agent service could not started. AppHA just sits there and does nothing, it does not restart the services as it should do. Now it's probably something I've done during setup but being new to the product I cannot see what, I have followed all the install pdf's and have read them over many times, I just cannot see what I may have done wrong as the setup seems simple enough. Or am I testing the product in the wrong fashion? As I'm only in evaluation mode I have no technical support with Symantec so any help with this would be very much appreciated as we are looking at buying this product and at the moment this is the final piece of the test I need to get working (probably the most important part) before I can turn to the bean counters and ask for some cash. As per the SCL its updated as applicable till 5.0 U2 and 5.5 U1 , In my environment I have to apply patch for my vcenter 5.0 U3 and 5.5 U2 Am worried these patch would cause any issue , as its not certfied yet as part of SCL.Solved2.6KViews1like3Comments

Hi my esxi version is 5.5 u2 and my vcenter version is 5.5 u1 now i have downloaded VCS 6.1 & High availability console 6.1 & application HA 6.1 i have reade all of documents but now i am so confused pleas say me ehat is the order of installing symantec product and say me please each of these product on what vm do i have to install? for example on vcenter server or ........ for example i have installed ha console on a seprate machine but when connect to vcenter on product there is no vm i have attached files i dont know what is my problem so thanks babakSolved3.4KViews0likes14Comments
