Hi. I just configure my new backup device in order to backup another kind of information. I would like to reuse some test tapes (used in HCART3 density) in my new jobs using HCART2 density but net backup do not allow it to me. I tryied to expire and delete the media but nothing happens. New tapes are working perfect. Is there any way to "format" the media? Thanks in advice Regards1.9KViews0likes6Commentsquick question on DFSR failed file/s
NBU 7.6.0.3 for DFSR backups of a drive, there are file/s being skipped due to access denied (file still open at user side). my question is, what happens to the other files that are not open or being used? will they have a backup inspite of the open file error caused by other opened files? or the whole DFSR backup is useless just coz a few files have open file error?3.5KViews0likes10CommentsNetbackup LAN free backup

I've been asked to complete a restore of multiple user drives, across multiple servers, over multiple years....I know...sounds like fun, right? Here are my challenges... 1. Generate a list of files to be restored. I have the user list, but they could be on any of 20 different client servers. I was thinking of using bplist to find them, but can't for the life of me get past the dreaded 227 error when I run it from the Master server. Oh, and some of those clients don't exist anymore....just the backups. - I've tried variations for bplist such as: bplist -Smaster -Cclient -t 13 -R c:\pathname on client 2. Use powershell, to take the list from above and generate the restores with the files being directed to another location using bprestore is my guess. I'm running NBU 7.6.0.1 on W2K8 and my install path is not the default. Any help would be really appreciated as this is probably going to take weeks as it is.Solved4.9KViews0likes21Commentshow can i get failed job backup selection info

Hello, My Netbackup is version 7.1 installed in a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine and supports about 20 clients running different flavors of operating systems, from Windows XP to Server 2008 and Redhat machines. I have a BMR backup of a Windows Server 2008 R2 that was taken in July, 2016 and been restored couple of times without any issue. The last restore was done in September, 2016. But, this week when i try to restore it, i get an error in the BMR client (please see, the joint file). And in activity monitor, i get : Invalid error number (2826) And now, i don't know what should be done to make the restore ends green.
