Master servers - NBU 7.5.0.5, Solaris 10 Clients - NBU 7.5.0.4, Windows 2003/2008/various releases Desktop - NBU Java GUI 7.5.0.5, Win XP Upgraded the NBU master last week to 7.5.0.5 and have not been able to restore files to an alternate path. Cannot restore any files to any alternate path or client. A small "Path Problem" window pops up, "Invalid Destination pathname." I've tried the C:\temp directory, alternate clients, etc. The Java GUI will only allow me to restore to the original pathname, so I have to log into the client and rename the existing file there before I can restore the old version. I can use the Windows GUI to restore to other directories on the original server, so this appears to be specific to the Java GUI. Anybody else notice this?Solved3.2KViews3likes8CommentsImport/Export Admin Console Java Settings
Hello, I'm using Netbackup Administration Control, java version. These are Netabckup 7,5 7,1 and 6,5. Need to migrate from XP to Windows 7. I would like to take with me on windows 7 settings such as list of hostnames and usernames I entered on them on XP, but don't have a clue where they are hiding. I found some configuration in files but they don't containt what I am searching for, checked forums for that but found only topic with importing/exporting seetings of windows console and this is definetely not that i'm looking for. Any ideas where i can find those settings for java version?Solved2.4KViews0likes4Commentsslp operation

Hello all, Below you will find a job detail of a backup that I had to suspend (I'll cancel it by sure) because of this job was taking long time. You'll see below on bold and italic the line where the backup stopped before I had to suspend it. Do you have any suggestions or test that I should do it in order to find a solution? Netbackup version is 7.6.0.3 and the client is a windows XP. Thank you in advance. Hi Forumites, First up, a confession - I'm a bit of a NetBackup lightweight. I've quite a bit of experience swapping thetapes andrestoring 'essential' files for users - however my job is now seeing me taking on more responsibility these days. This is good - but this is also challenging.... So I'd be grateful for some advice, if you think that you might be able to assist (thank you). We have a number of separate Active Directory domains running 32-bit Server 2003. Each domain has a Netbackup 5.1 server and a Domino 8.5.3 server. The domino servers were formerlyat version 6.5 - but have now all been upgraded. We're in the process of upgrading all of the 5.1 servers, but upgrade takes time. Unfortunately, during that time, a number of the Netbackup Domino policy in some of our domainshas stopped working. Emphasis on *some* here - others continue to work fine. I've spend a couple of (very educational) days poring over every article I could get a keyword hit on, discounting them one by one. One advised that Netbackup 5.1 *would not* backup Domino 8.5.3 - however I have seen for certain that it does (in some instances). Others predominately focused on capitalisation, syntax, stray punctuation and trailing spaces, sharing and mappings, Domino passwordsand a mismatch between the information in the policies and the information in the notes.ini file on the Domino server. From what I see, the issue is with Notes penetrating the Domino database. If I run the policy as a 'Windows-NT' policy, the files back-up fine. However when I return it to a 'Notes' policy, it reports a status code 71: none of the files in the files list exist. Following the advice in a word document which offers in depth testing for status 71, I created a few log files on both the Netbackup server and the Domino server. I believe that the issue occurs inthe line which bolded in theBPBKAR log file from the Domino server below. I hope you don't mind, but I've xxxxx'd out the server names (but case is preserved). BONUS QUESTION (if I may) I've also noticed a reference in the BPCDI created on the Domino server at the same time, which states: 15:37:48.895 [20576.20668] <2> ParseConfigExA: Unknown configuration option on line 50: RenameIfExists = 0 If anyone could advise me where (if) the script/file/other which contains the 'configuration option on line 50' exists in Windows Netbackup I'd be grateful (or if you have a more general link to a 'decoding the log file' type reference that'd be great - learning is good). Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any assistance - I hope I've provided enough info. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3:37:47.160 PM: [20240.20636] <4> ov_log::OVInit: INF - Hi all, I am facing restoration issue. When I am trying to restore the data from tape, the restore job is in active state but, it is "awaiting resource". Even though the media is available in library. Thisisfound in job Detailed Status. For this I have performed Robotic Inventory, still it is showing the same message. When I have checked the media status in command line using "bpmedialist", it is showing Server Group=UNRESTRICTED_SHARING_GROUP. For the above one, in Master server host properties, I have disabled, "Enable unrestricted media sharing for all media servers" option. Still I am facing the same issue. Can Any one suggest on this issue please, It would be helpful in resolving this issue. Thanks in advance, Sam.1.9KViews0likes13Commentsbprd terminate
