HELP!!! CANT RESTORE WINDOWS 7
Hallo. Experts, geeks, MVP’s,J I hope you people can help. We currently have a very big problem. Suddenly we cannot backup and restore any windows 7 pc. Our image is deployed with software central. It’s both x86 and x64 image. Our server that deployed the image is a Microsoft server 2012 . So our system partition is 350 mb and c drive the remaining space. There are non-backup programs that can restore it. We have used: Symantec v.11 /v. 13 Snapshot. Acronis. Hdclone We have tried all sorts of setting in bios and so on. The funny thing is that a windows xp is no problem. Even if we install a windows 7 by hand from a DVD. No problem. Our other department have build there image a bit different. There is no system partition. It’s all on the c drive. That is also working fine to restore. We even tried to build the BCD from scratch. With no luck. We have sent one of our pc’s to snapshot in Germany they also could not restore it. Our hardware is HP elitedesk from 8100 to the newest 800 g1 its business pc. So they have all got a tpm chip installed. So guys what could we have missed. What could possibly be the problem???Solved3.1KViews2likes16CommentsSSR 2013 Boot issue with hard disc copy
Hello, I'm having troubles with cloning a hard disk with W2000 SP3 on it. I'm usin SSR2013 60-days trial version. Tha clone would not boot and stucks at "Attempting Boot From Hard Disk (C:)" moessage. Have redused the size of the primary partition on target disk to 40GB. In the forums I found some hints on BESR 8.x, but the options mentioned there are not available in SSR 2013. I'll appreciate any suggestions.454Views2likes1Commentbackup Performence

I am using a trial version of system recovery 2011. I have created a restore point of my original hard drive. The drive has 3 partitions 25 gb each. When I created the restore point it created 3 separate restores, 1 for each drive (C,D,E). I would like to run the restore on a new drive that is 80 GB, but when it asks for the restore point to use I can only select 1(C) not all 3 (C,D,E)and the resize option is grayed out so I can not shrink the drive. How can I get all 3 partitions back in the same size partitions?379Views2likes1CommentDoes More than one Techn work at Symantec?????

Hya folks! Setup: BackupExec 2012 running on SBS 2011. Storage device is a 1GB drive plugged into a Stardom with a secondary disk that we manually swap and take offsite every week (actually, a collection of four such drives that we swap in series). This gives us backups going back four weeks. We want to restore a mailbox from three weeks ago. I've pulled the oldest RAID 1 diskout of rotation, mounted it in a usb enclosure, and shared it over the network. I am, however, not very familiar with how Backup Exec's manages storage devices and I am having trouble creating a Restore job from this network disk. Can someone please walk me through the process to create a Restore job from a network share for an old backup set? Part of the problem may be that the disk has the same identity as the active storage drive. I tried adding the network share in storage via the menu: Storage | Configure Storage | Disk-Based Storage | Disk Storage | ... Error message: "The disk storage device [PrimaryStorageDiskName]was found at the specified path. It is already a device on [ServerName] and cannot be added as a shared device." I'm sure it's a relatively trivial process, and my inexperience is the only major barrier. Much thanks!1.9KViews1like9Commentsbooting from a cloned hard on a laptop
Hi, I cloned a linux CentOS hard drive of a server PC which included a LVM. Then I connected my external hard to the usb port of my laptop. I wanted to boot my laptop from the CentOS of external hard so i could use the programs which were installed on PC.So I restarted the laptop and press F11 button to select the desired OS.
