Any dependency on upgrading to BEA 3600 R4 (latest) from R2 (2012)?

Hello, Our appliance is on 2012 R2 (pretty old). As R4 is out recently, I'd like to know if there is any dependency concerning the upgrade, e.g. R2 -> R3 -> R4, or R2 -> R4? Seamlessly as well? ...
