Backup Oracle database

Hi all,

I'm trying to do a backup from Oracle database but I'm receiving the message: "Access is denied to Remote Agent". But when I try to backup files from the same server it works.

So, why the connection with Remote Agent don't work when I configure backup from Oracle and work when I configure backup from files?

I'm using:

Backup Exec 2012 sp4

Windows Server 2008 64 bits

Oracle 11.2.0.4

Thanks

  • Could you post the exact error message from the job log.

Also refer to the below article, although its for older versions of BE but the steps are still same for BE2012.

  • See.. Always BE will make use of the Logon account, check if the logon account is having enouth permission from DB aswell.

  • The full messagem error is :

    Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000fe29 - Authentication failed on connection to the server. Make sure that the user account has the appropriate permissions and that the password was typed correctly.
    Final error category: Security Errors

  • What is the OS of the Oracle server? Make sure that it is supported and that there is no firewall blocking port 10000
