Hi!
I'd like to restore a virtual machine on an ESXi server backed up with BE2012 Service Pack 1a.
The restrore fails when BE tries to create the new virtual machine. Error "invalid datastore format".

In my one of my client enviorment , when restoring a vmdk if the ISO is not available or not accessible at that time it was failing with "invalid datastore format error " for which I had used the workaround & which helped me so though the above link does not clearly specify error invaild datastore format , but then it helped in my case to resolve issue with invaild datastore format errro
