Network slows when BE 9.1 loads tape.

We are running a small single server network using BE 9.1 to backup server files only. As we have started to upgrade workstations to Windows XP Pro we are now experiencing the network becoming so slow when we load a new tape that it is unusable but only on the XP workstations. We do the actual backup in the middle of the night so I am not sure what happens then. This is just while loading a new tape during office hours. Any ideas?

-- If the device is compatible and tested thne install the latest Veritas device drivers:-
VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 - Device Driver Installer (20050115) - Includes Tape Driver Release (20041231) and Robotic Library Release (45) (Intel Only) http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273853.htm
