Cannot backup Exchange database files
I am trying to do specific backups of our Exchange 2010 databases and having issues. We have 2 Exchange servers running in a DAG and are built as VMware virtual servers, hosted on VMware ESXi v5.1.0....
the EDB files are automatically excluded and do not get backed up.

Since your Exchange servers are running in a DAG, you need to use the Exchange agent to backup your Exchange mailboxes. Backing up the individual Exchange server VM will not do. There is no GRT support for applications/databases which are spread over a couple of VM's, like Exchange in DAG.
