SQL Instance missing for database restore

We are using Backup Exec 2012 with the SQL agent to back up several SQL Express 2008 R2 DBs. I went to restore a database and the instance is not listed, even though I see in the logs it is gettin...

    It could be that your latest backups are overwritten. Check your OPP to make sure that it is set long enough

In general, snapshot technology is not recommended for database backups.

However can you please browse the backup sets and check if the databases are listed under the instance?
