Superseded
I'm completely new to Backup Exec. When i took off a job from Hold, it says status as superseded. I get the meaning in normal terms, but what does it mean in job status?

If you have a Daily job that didn't run, and a Weekly job tried to run, you'd get this. Basically a more important job (the Weekly) was scheduled to run. You can get around this by either cancelling the job like you did, or restarting the BE services to refresh BE itself.
