FSA archive explorer missing

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I am trying to find archive explorer for archived files. For example, http://<servername>/EnterpriseVault/archiveexplorerui.asp does not show archived files.

I've been trying to find this for a while now, and I feel like a total newbie.

    Archive Explorer is not Store Dependent. It should show you all the archives from the stores. Looks like the logged on user does not have permissions on the FSA. In the admin console, go to:

     

    Archives-> File System. Give the logged on user read/write/delete permission on the speciifc archive.

    Ok, I think I have an idea what's going on. The mailbox archives (from Exchange) are in Store 1 and file archives are in Store 2. This is due to the requirement to store archives on different storage devices.

     

    It looks like the Archive Explorer won't show you anything from Store 2. Archiving and retrieval via placeholders works as it should, but nothing is shown Archive Explorer.

     

    How can I force Archive Explorer to show archived items from another store?

    Yes, that was it. I didn't realize that you had to set permissions for exploring archives separately. Thank you!
