Rename Vault Service account

Dear All,

Kindly find the details of enviorment.

EV 11.0.1 on Windows 2008 R2 SP1 server.

Exchange 2013 SP1

We need to rename username (samaccountname) of the Enterprise Vault service account in AD needs to be from Vaultadmin to some other name say Vaultadmin_config etc.

Also the user created for OWA i.e evanon needs to be renamed to evanon_op.

The actual user will continue to remain the same, just the username is getting changed to comply with standards.

We need to find out what changes will be needed in Enterprise Vault for these changes to be accommodated.

    How to change the Vault Service Account (VSA) or reset its password when using Enterprise Vault (EV) for Microsoft Exchange           http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH48035

    For the EV Anon Account just use the same configuration steps from the configuration guide to use the new account name.

    Can we rename the current vault service account and made the changes in VAC as per the technote.
