Restoring from shortcut to Exchange\Outlook

I've notice that whae a user restores a mail item from EV the archived item is not removed. It seems to almost be a copy instead of restoring/deleting. Is this correct?

    REstoring an item to a mailbox does not delete the item from the archive. This behavior is expected.

The item in the archive is compressed and single instanced for space savings.

But yes a full copy will exist in the archive and in the mailbox when you restore from a shortcut or from the webapps. That behavior is as designed.
