Selective rehydration of items

Hi,

Starting a new discussion for this question. Can we selectively rehyrdate items into users mailbox based on the size of the items?

  • No, that's not possible with EV.

You might want to consider a third party product such as Archive Shuttle, but, at the moment we only do it based on Archived Date, Path, Retention Category whether or not an item has a shortcut and the date on the item.

  • Hi Motih,

When you say 'rehydration of items', are you saying restoring archived emails back to the mailboxes? If so, you could use the Enterprise Vault advanced search, do a search for items archived with a specific size range, create a basket and restore the emails back to the mailboxes:

Of course, you might need to this per user mailbox. You can access the advanced search adding the 'advanced' parameter in the EV search URL, for instance:

    http://<your-ev-server>/enterprisevault/search.asp?advanced

    I hope this helps.

  • Ah yes, you're right GabeV, but it's cumbersome do that if you have lots of people to process.
