Q. Did you previously have the SMTP components configured?
The SMTP archiving components are not supported on x64 operating system.

I am definitively on Windows 2008 R2 and SMTP archiving looks like the issue. EvSmtpArchiveConfig.ini is not configure. Should I configure it or just delete the config file before running the upgrade again.
We are only doing Exchange archiving.

I had the "SMTP Server" feature installed, I removed it, reboot and I tried again the setup.exe again: Same error
