Vault Store marked for deletion, not deleting

Enterprise Vault 8.0 SP3, have selected a vault store for deletion, it shows as being marked for deletion but the process does not complete. How does one debug this issue or force the vault store to be removed. I need it removed.

    Most likely the issue is that you will need to restart the storage service to close any connections to the db so it can be deleted what I would suggest is dtrace storagedelete and whilst dtracing, restart the storage service, if it doesn't delete then it will tell you why it didn't delete

    Try dtracing the storage service.

    How long is it in this state?
    Are there any items on legal hold?

    No issues over the data, this is a new vault store, just trying to remove it so it can be recreated.
