Mass recall from IBM DR550
Hi experts, I have an evironment with EV 9.0.2 that will updated soon to 10.0.4. At first or maybe after the updated we will change the DR550 HSM hardware to a EMC Centera. For this we have to export or move the data to the new machine. My idear is to restore the data (0,5 TB) back into the first EV store and migrate that data into the new device then. Is it possible to recall all CAB files with EV tools back into the first EV store? And if not, is it possible to use the Tivoli Storage Manager Client to restore all the data out of the DR550 into the original EV partition without data lacks? Hi, We are in the process of implementing EV. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that would be willing to provide us some insight as to their experience implementing the product? We would also be able to provide information as far as our experience to date. Thanks440Views0likes1Commentduplicate archive in EV 8.02 for exchange should this have happened
We had a user have some strange issues with their mailbox lately so on Friday we decided to delete and recreate the users mailbox from scratch just to rule that out as we had already given him new pc new windows profile and new outlook profile. So his mailbox was deleted from our exchange 2003 on Saturday morning and recreated on Saturday evening. today when I logged into EV I was expecting to see an error along the lines of: The Exchange mailbox provisioning task found a new mailbox with an existing entry in the Enterprise Vault database. The mailbox GUID does not match the entry in the database. Task: Exchange Provisioning Task for global.arup.com Mailbox: Set the SynchInMigrationMode registry value in order to process this mailbox. See the documentation for further details. BUT instead it had created a new Archive now I have 2 archives with the same name. one has 2000 items the other 263 is my best option to export one to pst and re import to current Archive and delete the old one or is there another option if I do an import is there a chance of duplicating shortcuts ? any suggestion would be greatSolved767Views0likes4CommentsHave to Rebuild Enterprise Vault
I have to rebuild my EV server, and I am a looking to verify if I can use a UNC path for my VSP. Whoever built EV the first time partioned the hard drive so that they only allocated 12gb to the C drive and 56gb to the D: drive. Both my Data drive and my OS drive are running out of space. So the only option is to rebuild, after doing some research on the system I found out that the EV Index is on the D drive, which is also where the EV executables are so I have to move the index to the NAS storage, I found this kb to do that http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/273141.htm I am also going to set the current VSP to R/O and create a new VSP on the NAS as well, to move the VSP I found this kb http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/273271.htm once I have the index moved to the new NAS and the VSPs moved to the NAS, I will have to delete the D drive and expand the C drive to the next continous space with is the 56gb on the D drive. So here is my dilema or confusion. I will have to reinstall the EV executables on the C drive, how do I go about pointing to my existing VSPs and do I also have to point to my exisitng EVindex? Any help will be greatly appreciated.Solved891Views0likes3CommentsVault Store marked for deletion, not deleting
Enterprise Vault 8.0 SP3, have selected a vault store for deletion, it shows as being marked for deletion but the process does not complete. How does one debug this issue or force the vault store to be removed. I need it removed. DSolved1.3KViews0likes3Comments
