How to destroy trust

I have used Norton 360 on our machines for the past years, and have been very satisfied. But what happened today, greatly shook up my trust in Symantec. I received a monthly newsletter that promised to inform me about social media scams, spamming, pesky advertisements etc. But any link, I clicked on, led me to a "pesky" Norton advertisement. I find it very hypocritical to pretend to protect the user when, in fact, you do exactly what you claim to guard against. The next step then is to float malware, so you can come as knight in shining armour saving the naive consumer.

I am using this forum to bring the issue to public attention. Symantec's core product is trust! Once you waste it, the brand is toast.
