Does anyone know if the 5200 appliance is qualified to use the new 7.5 accelerator feature? appliance is at version 2.0.2
Called customer support and they informed me that my license did not upgrade properly to include this feature. Issued a new optimaztion license and now it is enabled.
The 7.5 accelerator feature is not qualified to work on your 5200 appliance when running v2.0.2 code. The next 5200 code release will include the necessary components to enable accelerator.

NetBackup 5200 with software version 2.0.2 is still at NetBackup 7.1.x.x code. This appliance will not support NetBackup Accelerator as is. You need a software update (not available yet) to bring the appliance to 7.5 based code to use NetBackup Accelerator with this appliance.
NetBackup 5020 does support NetBackup Accelerator today when used with a NetBackup 7.5 media server.
I spoke with support again and they explained that to me also.
