How to recover local master using DR catalog image from remote master?

Hi All,

 

I have 2 NBU domains, 1 is a traditional master (7.1.0.3 on win 2008 R2) and the other is an appliance master (2.0.2). Both have their catalog backups replicated via AIR to each other. My question is, if 1 of the master go down, how do I recover it using the catalog backup image from the remote master?

    Copy 1 is on local storage and then duplicated to remote site.

    If any of the master servers fails your best option will be to recover from local copy.

    AIR is not meant for remote master recovery - it is meant for recovery of site 1 client images on site 2 (and vice versa if images are duplicated in both directions).
