Hello everyone!

Master Server Version 6.5.6
Media Server Version 6.5.6
The last time I heard my team reporting such an error, was a problem with their IP address resolution problem. Probably wanna verify /etc/hosts or your DNS again for any hostname-IP mapping.
Hello
Today I was checking DNS but everyting is fine.
The report All Log Entries display this:

Someone Knows which is the port number of BPCD??
It can be any port?
bpcd is 13782
looking at this you have two issues.
Thu Aug 18 05:10:23 CST 2011 MEDIA SERVER Error CLIENT 283933 General cannot send mail because BPCD on CLIENT exited with status 48: client hostname could not be found
Then you have the invalid media server issue.
So starting from scratch:
On Client -
check that the master server and all media servers are listed in the additional servers list - and that they are listed either short or FQDN if they cannot ping via short name. Or list them both ways.
On master verify that your media server is in the master server additional servers list as well as in the media server list. And that the master server can find the client - if it cannot find it via short name make sure you put the FQDN in policy.
On any/all media servers verify they can ping the client.
I'm not sure. But may be than network administrator closed the port in every client.
Can you please post the job details in Activity Monitor for one of the failed jobs?
At this point we cannot determine if the problem is with the media server on a client that the media server is trying to backup. Job details will hopefully assist.
Logs needed to troubleshoot the connection process:
On media server: bpcd (this will confirm master -> media server connectivity) as well as bpbrm (to check outgoing connection request to client and if connect back from client is received).
On client: bpcd log
To check media server -> master server connectivy, any or all of the logs are needed on the master, depending where in the process flow connection is failing: bprd, bpdbm, admin
Status 48 simply means that hostname lookup is not working at OS level. 'ping <hostname>' will also fail. At this point, port connection is not yet attempted, just hostname lookup (gethostbyname). As from NBU 6.0, all connections between server and client is made via vnetd (13724). As from 7.0.1, pbx is tried first. This can be confirmed by doing the following test from server -> client: bptestbpcd -client <hostname> -verbose -debug.

operation requested by an invalid server (37)
No connection attempt from media server -> client.
Definately media -> master comms.
Please ensure that you have admin log on master server and do the following test:
On media server, run: 'bptestbpcd -host <master> -verbose'
Check admin log for incoming request from media server's IP address. check if this is same IP address as when you do 'bpclntcmd -hn <media-server>' on master server.
In this moment I don´t have any issue. The media server is ok, but I´ll Like to know what happened.
Yesterday I post the information about bptesbpcd from master server:

It's weird true? But everything looks fine!
Please check admin log on Master server to see incoming request from media server.
