    I only see end of support for PA-RISC in the SCL, not for IA64.

    My understanding is that Symantec will only support OS/Platform if the OS vendor will support the same.

The end of support statement for HP PA-RISC has been in the OS Compatibility Guide for quite some time.

I have only ever seen that Symantec dropped support for platform/OS combination when the OS vendor drops support for their own OS.

NBU has always supported NBU clients on one level lower version of software. This means that any 7.x version client should be supported by 8.x version servers.
