Restart a failed duplications

hi,

we are under Netbackup Entreprise 7.5.0.5 on a windows 2008 R2, and because all the tapes was FULL, so all the duplication between 02/12/2014 and 02/14/2014 failed with code error 96.
please i need to know how to launch all the failed duplication between this specific date ?  (we had more than 200 duplication).

thanks in advance !

  • SLP will not the restart the failed job and increae the job attempt.

it will tirgger the new job for the same image and get it compleate.

you can check the amount of backlog info by using below command in master server.

    nbstlutil report

this command also have the another parameters which will give you the info about the SLP controled images.

read the below tech note to get the better understand on SLP

  • how you are making the duplications?

    SLP?

    Vault?

    automatec script?

    or just Manual trigger?

other than Manual trigger rest all should kick the duplication jobs again and try making the duplications..

make sure you have enough tapes...

  • Are these duplications created by SLP's?

If so they will re-start on their own

If you have a long delay then try disabling and re-enabling the SLPs to get them to kick back in.

  • hi,

thanks for your returns, the duplications run with SLP's

  • then Nothing to worry...  SLP will take care about it..

just make sure you have enough tapes avaliable..

  • hi,

yes now we have a lot of tapes, but, for the failed duplications, on the activty monitor, the value of attempt is "1" !!

so, there was no reply for the failed duplications....

  • As i said earlier .. if they are not kicking in just disable and re-enable the SLPs to kick them back into life

Check your LIFECYCLE_PARAMETERS file (netbackup\db\config) to see if you have a long delay before they start

I would have expected them to be running or to have completed by now (based on when you created this thread)
