    Hi solomοn

Ignoring the unsupported configuration (assuming you have installed NetBackup server on the RedHat 9 system), the Java console from the RedHat server requires an X11 system to run (if you log into the console of the server and have a graphical display this should work there). Starting from putty will not work if you have logged in remotely, unless you have a local X11 system (mobiterm for instance) that can handle this application (and you set up the DISPLAY variable correctly).

A simpler option would be to install the java console on a Windows box (your local system or a jumpbox) and connect using that. To install, you require the Windows installation zip file.

As for the WebUI (and possibly the Java console), have you allowed the required ports (443 & 1556) through the local firewall (firewalld) on the RedHat system itself? (e.g. # firewall-cmd --add-port 443/tcp)?

    Cheers
    David
