NetBackup 7.5 library configuration

Grettings,

 

 

Im installing NBU on a Solaris environment with a SAS2 library, in the OS i can see with no problems the library

 

and when im looking for the robot it look's like this:

 

 

 

But when i use the wizard from NBU i got an empty list in the devices:

 

 

 

I followed this TECHNOTE:

But the problem persists,
 
 
 
Im with the last version of Solaris, with NBU 7.5 and the library is a Oracle-Sun SL150 SAS2 port

  • Have you tried to rebuild NBU sg driver?

    Please have a look at this discussion for steps to rebuild sg driver:

    If it still does not work, find out if SAS card is a 6 GB card. As per the Solution of above thread, problem is with 6 GB card that does not allow NBU sg driver to load as well.
    Until such time as SUN/Oracle can fix this issue, these cards cannot be used with NBU and must be replaced with 3 GB card.

    I have alomost same issue. I have Oracle SL150 Tape Library connected through Fiber. I have netbackup 7.5.0.5 installed on Solaris 11.1 (x86). I can see the only Tape Drive and unable to see the robotic (media changer).  I have rebuilded sg driver many times ,but no success. some body help in this regard.
