  • Delete /usr/openv

    Remove entries from /etc/services

    Remove entries from /etc/inetd.conf

See "Removing UNIX NetBackup client software" in Unix/Linux install guide: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH52799

  • As suggested by Marianne, just want to add one step before deleting /usr/openv

Stop the netbackup services by command /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bp.kill_all

  • Hi Marianne,

I think bp.kill_all command will not any differnce with client. Anyway thanks for your time.

  • Correct - no running processes on a pre-7.x client. bpcd and vnetd runs from inetd.
