client side dedup not working either way...

followed this kb (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH77683&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1316850142217) but NO solution...tried on NEW and CLEAN win2k8 r2 updated servers (one is dc other is be2010r3 sp1) but still client side deup not work...disabled firewall, the domain is the same, vlan the same, no idea or clue....any help?

    In BE console browse the devices tab, do you see the dedup folder under the remote server name.

    no, for some reason the pushed install DID NOT added it automatically.

    added now manually and worked...still have some dubt on using ip or fqdn on client and server config...any way, solved :)

    FQDN works fine, when using client side dedup you can add only remote server in the selection list
