LDAP Synchronization with CA

While synchronizing employee information between the AD and CA, by default, the CA populates the 'email addresses' for the user from the 'proxy-address' field in AD.

 

In my environment, there are user objects in the AD that are not mail-enabled. Hence, their proxy-address field has no entries. I'm looking for the ability to modify this default behavior within CA to instead sync with an AD attribute of my choice, like an extension attribute. I can then programmatically populate this extension attribute with the user email-addresses.
