Eject tape automatically after a job that contains 1 full and 4 incremental backups
Hi all, Maybe this is already answerred in the past but I could not find it, if it is a double entry then my apologies upfront. I am from local support and I support multiple countries and every country has at least 1 server running, all these servers are on the same schedule introduce by our storage team but also all have the same failure and the storage team is not able to resolve it, so I thought to raise an question here. Recently (4 weeks ago) the company moved away from daily full backups to 1 full backup and 4 incremental backups on the smaller remotely supported sites. All servers run backup exec 2012 version 14.0 Rev. 1798 and all run the same schedule, 1 job created containing 1 full backup on Friday 10pm and 4 incremental backups on Monday to Thursday 11pm. The tapes are swapped every Friday, so want we want to accomplish is that the tapes automatically eject after a succesfull Thusday backup, and here is the fault, currently it ejects after the Friday succesfull full backup, while the tape should not be ejected, I went into the schedule of the job and I found that the option eject after succesfull full backup was selected, so unchecking this option would prevent that, but when the storage team unchecked this option and enabled this option with the incremental backup it started to eject the tape after a succesfull incremental backup, so the question is, is it possible to have 1 job consisting 1 full backup on friday and 4 incremental backups on mon to Thursday and eject the tape after the Thursday backup? Netbackup 7.7.3 see library but can't configure the drives
Windows 2008 R2 Netbackup 7.7.3Master Server Library Eternus Fujitsu LT60S2 4xUltrium-HH7(IBM) LT0 7 tapes drives I see the library in Windows, the drives. When Itry to add the library in Nebackup, that's failed.. Netbackup see the library and the drives but I can't select the drives...I should configure the drive before... HOW and WHERE? .. thanks

AIR (automatic image replication) using NAT-ed IPs
Dears, I need your support on this: We are configuring AIR (automatic image replication) between Mainand DR site, so no client backup will be done between site. Kindly advise if we can configure AIR between sites using NAT-ed IPs, if just master servers will communicate with each other. Regards,

SAN Transport on VMware VSAN
Hi, We recently deployed a new VM infrastructure using Vmware VSAN 6.0 It's running in 10G network and the netbackup 5230 appliance is using the same network for backup. Currently backups are running over LAN method which has some speed limitation on VMware kernel side. I would like to know if VSAN is supported for SAN Transport to maximize the backup speed. Based on the Veritas Education videos online, it is supported but I dont know how to enable it. Credentials problem with SharePoint
I have a SharePoint 2013 server that backs up just fine under DocAve using credentials that have admin access to both the server and the database. When I try to back it up under BE15, the job cannot authenticate with the Configuration database when I try a SharePoint farm backup even though it connects with the other SharePoint databases. The agent is up to date. The standard backup as a file server works though.

DAG credential error and PDDE service can't start
I test installed Backup exec server 15 with FP5 with last hotfix on ESXI virtual machine 2012 R2 with last updates to backup Exchange 2013 DAG IP-less Database using disk-based storage and installed the last agent version and restarted all member servers in dag so i need your help to fix these errors 1- when tested DAG credential error message appear "test failed , test recommended " while credential test successed on member servers and DAG backup Task run very well 2- i notice after restart Backup server can't run any tasks and message appear under job status " ready, no backup exec server are available " and notice in adamm log PDDE service can't start Waiting on PDDE service start (1200000 milliseconds) Error waiting for PDDE service to start: 1060 PDDE service has not started; continuing... Treat all LTO devices as if they are in UMD certified device list: DioAllLto = 0x0001 Use UMD certified device list: DioDrivers = 0x0002 notice i change PDDE service to 1200000 based on veritas article but unfortunately not solve my problem whileif restarted services every thing work fine Thanks

Slow SLP Duplication Jobs
hi , Im using SLP policies ( backup to disk -Local Disk then duplicate to tape -IBM TS), recently duplication jobs take a lot more time to complete ( around 10-12 hours for each) when i check Netbackup i can see it will find right media right away and loads it in tape drive very fast but the duplication job will hangs at "Waiting for positioning of Media ID" for about 10 hours. any help here would be apperciated. thanks!
