Netbackup 7.7.3 see library but can't configure the drives
Windows 2008 R2 Netbackup 7.7.3 Master Server Library Eternus Fujitsu LT60S2 4xUltrium-HH7(IBM) LT0 7 tapes drives I see the library in Windows, the drives. When I try to add the library in Nebackup, that's failed.. Netbackup see the library and the drives but I can't select the drives...I should configure the drive before... HOW and WHERE? .. thanks

AIR (automatic image replication) using NAT-ed IPs
Dears, I need your support on this: We are configuring AIR (automatic image replication) between Main and DR site, so no client backup will be done between site. Kindly advise if we can configure AIR between sites using NAT-ed IPs, if just master servers will communicate with each other. Regards,

SAN Transport on VMware VSAN
Hi, We recently deployed a new VM infrastructure using Vmware VSAN 6.0 It's running in 10G network and the netbackup 5230 appliance is using the same network for backup. Currently backups are running over LAN method which has some speed limitation on VMware kernel side. I would like to know if VSAN is supported for SAN Transport to maximize the backup speed. Based on the Veritas Education videos online, it is supported but I dont know how to enable it. Slow SLP Duplication Jobs
hi , Im using SLP policies ( backup to disk -Local Disk then duplicate to tape -IBM TS), recently duplication jobs take a lot more time to complete ( around 10-12 hours for each) when i check Netbackup i can see it will find right media right away and loads it in tape drive very fast but the duplication job will hangs at "Waiting for positioning of Media ID" for about 10 hours. any help here would be apperciated. thanks! Duplication failing with does not match the fragment
Windows Master 7.6.0.4 Windows Media 7.6.0.4 Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Duplication from LTO1(Using LTO3 Drive) Tape to LTO4(using LTO4 Drive) tape failling with below error message. I troubleshooted and found that it is failling it only on 2 drives. When I made those drives down it runs fine the same job successfull on other drives. Good morning, After moving some clients (vmware) to another policy, my msdp size growed up by 8 TO.... I don't understand what is "global dedup"... Does anyone can explain that? Best regards

Error 96 while drive cleaning
Hello, I am trying to clean my tape drive (HP MSL 4048) because, reported as "Cleaning needed" in the Properties dialog box of the drive (the drive is HP.ULTRIUM4-SCSI) So, I followed Netbackup Technotes explaining how to configure Cleaning tapes : Create a Bare code rule : done (BARE_CODE_RULE.JPG) Put the cleaning tape in the None volume pool : done (NONE.JPG) The media type is automatically set to DLT_CLN (DLT_CLEAN.JPG) But, when i try to run a manual clean, i get error like in the attached file named (DRIVE_CLEAN.JPG, CLEAN_JOB.JPG) I am asking now, if there's something more that needs to be done regarding my issue Thanks in advance.

BUG REPORT: NDMP incremental backup running as a full backup
We have the same error reported in the article https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000011201, is there any solution already known to fix the problem? Information about my backup: - NetBackup version 7.6.1 - Full backup performed on Saturday finished in status 0 - Incremental backup made on Monday finished in status 0 (previous backup to the problem). - Incremental backup performed on Tuesday is the problem. This backup copying this all again the same data expected to complete.
