Backup Exec 2014 and Share Point 2013
I'm trying to make backup Share Point 2013 with Backup Exec 2014 updated as of August 14, 2015 and I can not do it without mistakes. The users who use it for backup of all databases dboinfrastructure and farm administratorof Share Point. I want to install the backup agent on it in order to take the backup, I am wondering if I will install the agent on each node using the node name or I will install it on the cluster using the cluster name ? Hi all, i'm having a strange problem with the update of remote agents from CASO to servers. Apparently everything works fine but i can't simply right click and select update when the CASO servers tab display that servers need to have their agent updated. After dealing enough with it i decided on first step to "manually" update the agent transfering the RAWS32 and doing a manual update. I've done this several times and always had zero troubles back. Now: the remote server displays the correct version of the agent, but the CASO server tab still warns that agent must be updated. If i try right click and update again i still have the same error: Backup exec cannot connect to the remote server. I have this issue, suddenly, on 4 servers, they all are DC 2003r2 on their way to be upgraded, but in the meanwhile i'd like to fix... Any hint?Solved1.5KViews0likes8Comments
BE3600 R2 - BE 2014 (SP2) GRT Restore of Exchange 2003 Mailbox Items
I have a BE3600 R2 Appliance Running Backup Exec 2014, Ver 14.1 Rev 1786 64 bit. And a target Server: Exchange 2003 SP2, with Agent 14.1.1.1786.1103 Target Server is a VM, running on vSphere 5.5 with vCenter. I backup the server via the VMWare Agent with GRT enabled. I am able to restore individual files with no issues. When I try to restore a ExchangeMailbox Item fromthe sameBackup set I get the following: Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe00002f7 - Cannot extract mailbox messages from the Exchange backup. Review the job log for more information. Final error category: Resource Errors For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-759 I am able to fully see Exchange server Storage Group in the backup set, I am able to see all mailboxes, and all their contents. I can't say for certain when this broke, and I've certanly used it sucessfully many times in the past before I upgraded my appliance to BE 2014. I've come across countless of articles regarding error 0xe00002f7but none of them relate to BE 2014. Hello People, I am back with my queries. lol I need some help as usual. I updated the Backup Exec 3600 R3 appliance with 2014 SP2 from Liveupdate. I update the servers from the BE console. yet i get that the servers are running a different version of BE Remote Agent. I can't see any information on the appliance for SP2 with version number 14.1.Rev 1786.1093. The beremote on the servers all show version number 14.1.Rev 1786 Checking updates from the Appliance using the browser install updates says there is no update available. Hi, I upgrade my appliance to 3600.R3 and it was upgraded successfully. I further installed via live update SP1 andhotfix-225092. Now when I upgraded the agent on virtual machine it was upgraded and it changed its colour to blue, but it still has the arrow over it showing that it has some update, version numbr of agent is14.1.1786.1068. The problem is when it runs the backup job it stay stuck on "Discoverying resources". I have tried taking its backup as physical server and via V-center, in both the cases it had the same problem.
