Outlook Virtual Vault and Virtual Cache - How to redirect it to the Indexing Server
Hi Techie Folks, Hope all are doing good. Need some information, because Veritas Documents are confusing. It isn't for beginners like me. I have one Archiving Server and One indexing Server (Dedicated to their respective roles) If I am going to enable Virtual Vault for my users, to which servers the request will go to download the information to the Virtual Vault Cache. Is it the Server which is dedicated for Archiving or to the server which is dedicated for Indexing. I am going to roll out virtual vault to batch of users and check whether it is working fine and then in batches until I rolled out to all users. Please guide me through the right way. Please help me in this regards.646Views0likes2CommentsEnterprise Vault - Identify Old Archives
Does anyone have an SQL query that provides the last access date of an archive? Alternativley, if that is not available, would you know how to Query the last time an item wasadded into a archive? I have a number of orphaned archives (with no primary billing account). A number ofarchives have individual accounts that have privilleges to read the archive, but I want to clean the inactive ones up. Thanks1KViews1like5CommentsCA Database Schema - SQL Querying
Hi there - I am currently looking to build some custom SQLqueriesagainst the CA database but am struggling to understand the various tables and their relationships. Is anyone aware of where I can find a data relationship diagram, CA data model schema, or data dictionary to assist? As a temporary option, I am looking at the IntDiscoveredItems table which I understand are similar to the alerts produced when certain hotwords are hit. However I am unsure how to link this table back to the IntHotwordID table? Any help is much appreciated.1.6KViews0likes2CommentsFormat of displaying Receiver / Sender in DA
The problem is: The format of email address that displaying in Discovery Accelerator is: "<Name Surname> email". For example, "Serhii Kohan skohan@example.com". If the Last Name is not specified, the EV in the search results in the FROM: or TO: fields, write skohan@example.com. But if name specified, it will only display the "Serhii Kohan", and then to find out what is the actually address of the recipient/sender - we have to open source code of mail and look to the header. We'd love to EV display the full address format, or at least only the e-mail address rather than a name. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Our main goal is: We need to make a reports of reviewed emails from DA, using SQL query in report template. And we even achieved the result, using complicated query with JOIN clauses. Now, we have the review report include such headers: FROM: ---- TO: ---- SUBJECT: --- ATTACHMENTS: --- DATE: --- MARKS: --- TAGS: --- COMMENTS: --- The problem is, that FROM: / TO: headers include only Name and Surname (for example: Serhii Kohan), instead of full email address, like: "Serhii Kohan skohan@example.com". We suppose that there is a table in some DB of EV, which has Name and Surname with actually email address. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> We were researching in SQL DB to find some connection betwen Name Surname and email address. But did not find anything. The TSE said that "This is a default behavior and EV can not display the full address format." and offer to make a feature enhancement. But we know that if there is a possibility to search Sender or Recipient email address by Name or Surname there must be some table in DB which contain such info. PLEASE HELP US TO FIND SOME NONTRIVIAL SOLUTION TO THIS CASE..1.7KViews0likes5CommentsVault Search cannot be opened in Outlook 2013
Hi @ all, since we update Office from 2007 to 2013, many users (increasing) have the problem, that if they try to open the integrated search, the search02k.asp and also the new EV 11 search cannot be opened. Only an empty windows will be displayed (like an empty folder). Open the links in IE directly is working fine. After clicking on Vault Search in Outlook, you´ll get the following page: We tried the following: Running ResetEVClient.exe Creating an new Outlook profile Zapping Mailbox Trying to solve this issue with following Technote: http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/user-unable-view-archive-explorer-search-vaults-outlook Verifying that IE (10) is standard browser Verifying that IE (10) is in compatibility mode Open the EVWebViewRedirect.htm -> opens the Vault Search in IE -> OK Logon as different user on that computer and open Vault Search -> OK Logon user on other computer and open Vault Search -> OK So it looks like a problem with the user profile, but what?! Good afternoon. I am new to Enterprise Vault and unfortunately the only access i have to the environment in question is read only access to the EV Database. I don't have access to the EV console. I need to know if there is a way to query EV SQL to identify all of the orphaned archives (Archives that no longer have a mailbox associated)and the sizes of those archives. This environment is running EV 9 If someone could be so kind as to point me to the tables that might contain this data, I would really appreciate it. I tried to do a search in the existing posts for the information that i need, but i don't see what i'm looking for. Thanks in advance.Solved1.5KViews0likes6CommentsJournal Archive Oldest/youngest item date NULL
Hi All, I need to figure out which Journal archives can be deleted by looking at the oldest and youngest item in the archive. When I run the sql query to pull the oldestitemdateUTC and YoungestItemDateUTC it shows as NULL for most of the archives. Is there a way to set this? Using the expiry process isn't an option because we are looking at processing against 3+Billion items.
