    From what I understand, the domain name is stamped on each archived item if you have used the FQDN (how lame is that!) so you're kinda stuck with it.  Make some changes in DNS, so anyone requesting an item will be redirected to their item on the EV server in the new domain.  I'm not a DNS expert, but I think that's the easiest route, otherwise updating alot of entries in SQL...
