"Deployment Scanner" fails to make a connection to SQL

HI,

We are about to upgrade Enterprise Vault(EV) server.

We are installing new server, new SQL Server and migrate the archive to the new solution.

I start testing with a LAb instalation, I Install:

  • Windows Server 2019
  • Microsoft Sql Server 2017
  • Entrerprise Vault 12.5

When I run the Deployment Scanner fails to make a connection to SQL I tried the solution on https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100042824 wiht no success.

Any ideias, if I run the Deployment Scanner that cames on the ISO of EV 12.4 it work.

Can I trust th result and continue?

    Hello,

    I assume you have, but as of EV12.4.1 you need Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL installed. It is not automatically installed. Below link has a link to the MS download location.

    Maybe that is the issue here, seeing you did a fresh 12.5 install?

    I had exactly this (12.4 working, 12.5 fails, Win2019 / SQL 2017)
    I chose to ignore the deployment scanner and the install worked fine afterwards. Seems like some kind of bug in the Deployment Scanner.
