Unable to open Archive Email from outlook

Environment :
 
Enterprise vault 8.0
Users using outlook 2007

Issue:

Users facing the problem "Unable to open Archive Email from outlook"

Error  : Enterprise Vault cannot Open this item. 
            copy or move it to your Mailbox and then try again from there



 
  • I see you have several post..Is this a recent install for you?

    It sounds as if some steps may have been missed around setting up the EV server in your Trusted Sites.

  • Does restore and archive function work?

    It is only double clicking that does not work?

    Can you open the item from Archive Explorer?

    Any errors in the evnt logs on EV server?

    Can you replicate and post the client trace.  You may be interested in my article in reading a client trace.

    Manually not working.

    Automatically some times working.

    *Not opening giving below error.

    Error  : Enterprise Vault cannot Open this item.

    Can you open the item from Archive Explorer?

    * Prompting for username and pwd . after giving pwd its opening. ( Each and every time for the user)

     

    Any errors in the event logs on EV server?
