NBU 7.1.0.2 - Import Images after cleanup catalog

Hi all,

we have to do a cleanup of our catalog due to a hardware migration tasks. Therefore we cleanup the nbu catalog with the command:

 bpexpdate -backupid $i -copy 1 -d 0 -force

Now we run Phase I of the import and could see in the log that he will recreate the image informations:

Run Phase I:

Logfile output, see above.

But when i try to run Phase II i see not all images:

I see only 8 images instead of 15000 images?

Can someone explain me if i did something wrong?

Regards, Martin

I get the feeling that some of the issues may have been caused by the original disk spanning.

If you had the available disk space it would be good to put all of the images into a single directory and work on that.

I would also now leave it for 1 week to allow the earlier unsuccessful imports to expire  -  if you have removed the touch file Marianne suggested (though bear in mind any that have so far successfully imported with have thir clock ticking as they will now have a life span of their original backup)

At that point you would have a clean set of all images in a single location to work on

You then need to run the Phase 1 and Phase 2 using the -cn 1 switch

Any that fail are either corrupt or have their TIR information missing

Those showing the TIR failure can have their file in the catalog tmp directories edited to reflect that they do not have TIR information and they should then import

    Keep us (me) updated
