We have a Dell 132T Autoloader and twin LTO 2 drives. Everything installed correctly and the drives etc are all there - however the tapes only show a capacity of 17 GB! I have the latest firmware and have patched 10.1 to SP1 anyone got any ideas cos this is causing me all sorts of grief!

If your device is supported by BEWS. (Check:
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/281670.htm) you could install the latest Symantec BEWS Drivers and observe the results :

Hi we have installed the latest Veritas drivers and the equipment is on the support listing. We have flashed the library and the LT0 2 units to the latest frimware and patched the 10.1d to the latest patch level the drives refuse to report LTO2 tapes correctly although they read LTO1 correctly - any ideas???

Hi,

"the drives refuse to report LTO2 tapes correctly although they read LTO1 correctly "

this means the capacity is being shown is wrong or LTO2 tapes not recognised by drive ?

Have you also checked once the compatibility of tapes with drives ? (when LTO1 is read correctly )

Update us on the same and revert for any further Query
Hope this will help you

Thank you
