Hello
I am having problem with DtoD backup.
Problem;
DtoD backup file size in Windows Explorer; 586GB
The media in the BackupExec Devices backup-to-disk folder shows;
Userd capacity: 37.0GB
Data: 37.0GB
Can I make the file size smaller?
Environment
Backup size:200GB
Disk Size: 1.36TB
Backupexec version 11d rev 6235
DtoD runs on Mon / Wed / Friday
We would like to keep the media for the last 6 backup.
Original Configuration
Media Overwrite protection period: 2weeks
What I did
1, The backup job failed, due to the free space.
2, Change the Media Overwrite protection period to 12 days
3, Move one of the media (the oldest) to retired media and deleted.
4, Delete the media file in the windows explorer
5, Inventory the backup-to-disk folder
After all, the Medial in the backup to folder shows 5 medias and no one them are overwriteable.
I thought that the backupexec create the new media and run the back.
Yes, the backup run and created media. However the files size gets bigger and job stopped by
0 freespace. Then the job was cancelled by setup of automatic cancellation: 12 hours.
Could you suggest how can I sort out this problem?
