Access Denied when backing up Exchange 5.5 remotely

I have a server running Windows 2003 with backup Exec 9 trying to backup a Windows 2000 Server with Exchange 5.5. The windows 2000 server has the remote backup agent installed. The Windows 2003 server has got Exchange Admin loaded.
The job has been setup with the Exchange service account and yet it keeps failing saying it was unable to attach to one of the drives. It initially failed with an access denied error. I have checked all the support docs on the internet and can't seem to resolve the issue

Hello Pedro,

I would like to know the exact error that you are getting.
Since when you are getting this error ?
Does the remote agent service is running on the Exchange server using local system account ?
