Advanced Open File Option

WE recieve errors for Several 'skipped files' that are left in use in our backup process. We are considering using the Advanced open File option.

Q1 - Does the option require an extra license to be purchased ?

Q2 - Are there any caveats I should know about when using the Advanced Open File option ?

Ignore Q1 - I have now read that the option is indeed an add-on.

Q1 - Yes it's an extra cost option.  Licensed one per machine to be protected

Q2 - Do not use AOFO to protect databases, use the appropriate Agent for Notes/SQL/Exchange/Oracle

- what about encryption or compression - any issue there ?

- does it significantly change the time to backup ?
