BE 10.0 Rev 5520 - Backups extremely slow and then job fails

Hi -

I've been wrestling with backup for awhile now. I had an issue backing up my redhat v4 machine so someone suggested upgrading to 10.1. At the same time, one of our tape drives failed and needed to be replaced. Before all that happened, my windows machines were being backed up fine. Now, my average speed is 3mb/min on a good day.

I tried uninstalling 10.1 and went back to 10.0, but that didn't seem to help problems. All the connections are set to 100 mbps and tests were run to check network speed and everything seems fine there. Also, local backups are fast.

Any help?

Hello Christina,

- So we assume you are back to 5520 Version now??

Please go through the following Articles:

If those do not help, please get back to us with the current Environment explanation that you have.

Also let us know if you have tried a Backup to a Backup to disk folder and if yes, what is the throughput that you get there.
